Welcome
Hello and welcome to the website of Bicester Green Gym, hosted by BTCV as one of the benefits of becoming a member of the BTCV Community Network.
We were established in May 2006 and are based in Bure Park, Bicester. We became self-running, though still supported by BTCV, in April 2008. We meet every Tuesday between 9:30 and 12:30 and once a month on Saturdays.
The aim is to get fit physically and mentally by working outdoors and seeing the improvements that can be brought to the environment AND IT'S ALL FREE!!
It is generally a much more exciting and constructive alternative to going to the gym or home exercise!
See the Join Us section to see what happens and how to enrol.
Latest news

September 2009 - exciting new projects included bench painting at Bure Park, work on a Geology Trust quarry, not generally open to the public, ongoing development of Bure Park and Bicester Community College school wildlife gardens. Also new work with the friends of Launton woods and pond.
May 2009: We planted showpiece flowerbeds in Manorsfield Road to help in Bicester's In Bloom entry. Last year the beds were superb and won silver and gold, and this year it was Gold again! To quote the article in the Oxford Mail: “The support we get from the Green Gym and BTCV is fantastic. It’s groups like that which show community support, and that was what the judges were looking for.”
We also enjoyed the jungle-like conditions at Bicester Community College's Eco Garden during their recent School-Force Day. This is an on-going job, but the hospitality is always great at the school.
Green Gym hit the jackpot again with a surprise £2000 coming our way from the Heritage Lottery Fund. We had a great time spending it on tools and equipment over the Bank Holiday weekend!
Peace to you

Doves seen in Garth Park, home of our tool store.
